What began as a desire to better blend the lines between the skiing and filming worlds, Deorum founder Ben Brough made it his mission to create a new way for free skiers and filmers to get the shot. Rapid Video Systems was born.
Splitting his time between the sea to sky corridor, Revelstoke and New Zealand as well as working for brands like Prior MFG and Mons Royale Ben was able to pull from his years of industry experience and contacts to help turn his dream into reality.
From 2020 to 2022 (the year the product officially launched to the masses) Ben Brough, along with a countless number of friends and athletes refined and tested the RVS system to perfection. Along the way they also identified the need for a better collapsible pole, and Apollo FR was born.
What started as a dream has now turned into one of the ski’s industry most durable pole and basket combos available. Made from 7075 Aluminium and utilizing full metal clamp hardware no detail was overlooked, all the way to the tungsten tip. Come check them out in person at Coastal Culutre.
